About AE » Wes Dzioba
I started my life in a small town of less then a hundred people, the at the age of 5 moved to Winnipeg. Did the regular kid stuff growing up but always took an interest in art and comics, then moved around Canada a bit once I reached 18 causing mischief everywhere I lived along the way and doing odd jobs. It wasn't until I moved back to Winnipeg that I saw an ad in the newspaper for a comic coloring studio looking for colorists and applied that I found my calling as it were in life, even though they didn't hire me at first. I applied again a year later and the rest is history and it was also around that time that I met and married my lovely wife Heather and did some touring of Europe. After the studio closed it's doors I took all I've learned and the contacts I made and started as a freelancer. I've been lucky to have worked on a lot of big named comics for the big publishers, but the indie comics will always hold a special place in my heart. Also one time I I blew up 30 cans of beans in one afternoon and lived to tell the tale.
